Some shear sharpeners sharpen at the wrong angle destroying the convex edge which decreases the efficiency of your hair shear. We are able to fix this problem for you by re-convexing your shear.

When a shear becomes worn often times it needs re-hollow grinding or re-convexing to increase the function of the shear. Hair shears also can need re-hollow grinding and re-convexing due to rust. Rust forms pits in the metal which can only be removed by those methods.

To avoid rust, keep your hair shears away from permanent wave solution. Letting permanent wave solution set on any part of your shears will pit the surface, even stainless steel can be corroded by strong chemicals. Be sure to rinse any chemical solutions from your shears immediately. Also keep them dry and clean.

RE-HOLLOW GRINDING A HAIR SHEAR: this is the process that restores the insides of the blades to factory new condition. This process is only required on badly worn, damaged or corroded blades. Sometimes rust can occur from contact with perm solutions.

RE-CONVEXING A HAIR SHEAR: Allows the blade angle and shape to be restored to original factory specifications, re-establishing the cutting-edge to like new. Usually recommended after shears have been sharpened many times, or damaged by one improper sharpening.

ENLARGING OF HAIR SHEAR FINGER HOLES: Sometimes the finger holes on shears are too tight. We are able to re-manufacture the size of finger holes to your requirements.

BLADE RE-SHAPED: To your unique requirements shears can be reshaped in many different ways. For example: Blades can be made narrower, Points sharper, Points rounder, etc..

NEW HAIR SHEAR FINGER RESTS: Also referred to as the Tang. We can install a hair shear tang to shears that have not previously had one. (Including drilling and tapping or welding on a permanent rest).

HAIR SHEAR FINGER RINGS AND RUBBER BUMPERS: We have finger rings and rubber bumpers for most makes of professional hair cutting shears.
